The easiest and quickest way to transfer from BNB to Polygon MATIC is using a trusted DEX/bridge that offers support of both networks. In this article we will cover step by step instructions to bridge BNB to Polygon MATIC through three separate bridges.

This can also be done through centralized exchanges such as Binance and Kucoin however in this article we will cover how to do it in a decentralized way using a DEX and Metamask.

BNB to Polygon MATIC

Step 1: Head over to the OpenOcean cross chain swap and select your sending and reviewing chain, in this case it will be sending from BNB chain to Polygon, this is also where you choose the token you want to bridge which in this case will be USDT

Step 2: Connect your Metamask wallet, be sure your Metamask has both the BSC and Polygon network setup, to do that check out this article.

Select Metamask To Connect

Once connected you will see that Openocean shows you the different routes that the bridge can take to complete your transaction, Openocean will automatically select the cheapest route for you. This will also tell you the fees and the expected time it will take to complete your bridge.

Step 3: Enter the amount of USDT or your chosen token which you want to bridge from BNB to Polygon MATIC and hit the “Swap” button, confirm the transaction and follow any on screen instructions and your tokens will be on there way.

Once you learn how to use one bridge or cross chain aggregator most of the platforms that offer this are very similar just with a slightly different UI, this is the case for Rubic as it is a very similar process to OpenOcean.

Step 1: Head over to Rubic and connect your Metamask wallet.

Step 2: Once connected you can now select which chains you are bridging from and too, click the select token button to open the window.

Select BNB on the left as the chain you are sending from and on the right select USDT or whichever token you are wanting to bridge. Do the same process again for the second “Select Token” option.

Step 3: Enter the amount you would like to bridge and start the process, confirm the transactions in Metamask and follow any onscreen instructions.

Step 1: Connect your Metamask

Step 2: Select the From chain, your Metamask must be on this network so in this case make sure you have the BNB chain added to Metamask. Once selected you can go ahead and do the same for the To chain so in this case Polygon.

Step 3: Do more or less the same process but this time for the token/asset in which you are bridging from BNB to Polygon MATIC, in this case is will be USDT.

Connext will now show you the estimated fees you can expect to pay for this transaction. Once happy with everything hit the Swap button and confirm the transactions in your Metamask and follow any on screen instructions.

Can you swap BNB to MATIC?

Yes you can, you can either use any of the DEXs listed above or you can use a centralized exchange such as Binance or Kucoin.

After reading this article you should now know three separate platforms that you can use to bridge BNB to Polygon MATIC quickly and safely. As you have most likely learnt most bridges work in a very similar way making it very easy to use different bridges once you understand how they work and learn your way around one or two.

As the crypto space evolves and more and more blockchains are developed every day bridging tokens between them is an important skill to learn and use.
